Boxed Cupcakes

I'm not a good cake maker in real life. When my children were small I amused them by hurling some sponges I'd made down the garden like frizbies! They were too hard for us to eat, they bounced on the grass and remained there for days because even the birds refused to eat them.
Now I make smaller cakes. Smaller cakes = smaller disasters. I tried some new cream and made loads. I filled my boxes and they started to look ok to me.

Last night I put them on Etsy and they were sold within 15 minutes! I'm a happy bunny and shall stick to my motto 'Make It Small'!
I hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Cushions Galore!

Wow, there is life after cushions!
Today I had a break from them and made some more cupcakes, just for a change.
The popularity of my cushions took me unawares and my little Etsy shop has been bursting with customers.
Originally I opened my Etsy shop to sell the excess miniatures I make that I can't use myself but now I get so many orders for more and more cushions I don't get time to make anything else!

It could be said that I'm a victim of my success - ha ha!
I'm really not complaining, I'm amazed and so happy of course that people love my cushions but now I really don't want to make any more for a while.
So, although I'm not the best at Fimo I've made a million cupcakes and I've found some new stuff that makes fairly good icing. Hopefully they'll be good enough to show you. Meanwhile here are some more cushions!

Anne's House

Reading Genevieve's blog one day I admired some little paper houses she'd made from kits by Anne Hoskins.I just had to buy some but I only kept one for myself as I haven't much space to display them. I gave two to Oly and we had a great 'dollshouse club' day making them. They are so well designed and they make up perfectly. We decorated the garden area with Flower Soft and they look fabulous!
This is the front of mine
And the back
I think you'll agree, they're lovely!
Enjoy the weekend!

New Year and New Achievements

I enjoy the challenge of something new. Solving a puzzle leaves me feeling happy. For a long time Oly and I had been trying to think of a way to make toiletry bottles without spending a fortune and getting into mixing resins, hardeners and colours. Little by little as the months passed we tried several ideas but finally we perfected a way that suits us! I made so many I had to design some display stands for them.
Then I got carried away with the stand making and made even more, so filled them with bling! I love sparkly.
Solving one problem produces another! Now the Ladies Shop needs more tables and shelving!
